My Story - Jim Burgess

Bio

I am a writer and creator and have been building up an audience on Twitter over the last 8 months.

I’ve been in tech sales all my life and have lasted in this industry through my genuine love for learning and knack for problem-solving. My passion is helping people.

I uncovered my creative and authentic self in a rather bizarre way after a traumatic experience that led me to my current path.

On my healing journey, I lost over 50lbs in weight and transformed myself from a depressed consumer to a focused and driven creator.

The breakdown served up some harsh truths. I was living within myself and I could be doing so much more with my life.

In hindsight, it was the best thing that has ever happened to me.

Now a year on I am helping coaches, creators and entrepreneurs find their authentic voices online through consulting. Whether it’s advice on social selling, offer creation, brand strategy or audience building I just love helping.

Work with me

I consult and help other creators using my knowledge in sales to help them sell more products and services in the exciting world of online business.

I also grow accounts on social media and ghostwrite articles and content for large corporate customers as well as consult on social media branding to help clients increase their prices, build an engaged audience and sell more services!

My other passion is empowering and educating those who have had a similar experience to me to help them on the journey to recovery from toxic relationships through coaching.

I still am passionate about sales and fly all around Europe helping corporate clients use technology to solve problems.

What am I up to?

Well, I am currently audience building on Twitter for myself and my creator friends offering to consult and finding ways to help.

I’ve also had a few of the articles I’ve ghostwritten make the news!

Since joining Twitter in July 2021,

  • I’ve built an audience of 2,000 followers

  • I’ve gone viral a few times (here)

  • I’ve rebranded a few B2B clients (I wish I could share them!)

  • I’ve helped several coaches successfully restructure their offer so that it sells

  • I’ve made more friends in 8 months than I have in the last 8 years!

The creator economy is truly where it’s at and I love being a part of it.

What I love!

  • Past time: I love the outdoors, hiking and am always on my bike

  • Food: I am a big meat eater so love a steak

  • Drink: A cortado (with cinnamon & maple syrup)

  • Book: 1984 by George Orwell is a dark masterpiece

  • Sport: Would you believe I played Inline Hockey for Great Britain when I was younger?

  • Music: House Music is life

  • City: Barcelona is where I’d love to move one day

I Strongly Believe

  • Finding out what your core values are is an essential part of leading a full and happy life.

  • That mainstream media is poisoning the minds of this generation and the purposefully polarising narrative keeps most people distracted from realising their true potential

  • You choose your mood and taking full responsibility for your life will empower you beyond belief
